Russ Mason
Russ is both a songwriter and a song collector who's been performing for over fifty years, first at colleges in Illinois, then on stage at many of Nashville's well known music venues, including The Bluebird Cafe, Douglas Corner, and the Exit/In, and more recently in the Portland, ME area.
As a part of the Nashville music scene that flourished for several years out at Norm's River Roadhouse, he organized and promoted a number of events there in support of the Roadhouse and his own Slow Cooker Music website.
Along the way Russ has co-written songs with Fred Koller, John Scott Sherrill, Cadillac Bob Holmes, Michael Kelsh, and others, including his son Neil, who's currently out on the road enjoying a grand musical adventure of his own as a member of Big Machine's band The Cadillac Three.
